A long-standing partnership in document control
Netpower delivered a complete solution of Certain QMS – Document (eHandbook) to Oslo University Hospital (OUS). The delivery included all modules and features, as well as native applications for read-only users on the App Store and Google Play.
Since then, the solution has been in stable operation and continuously developed, and today OUS has more than 27,000 users. The solution contains various document templates, in addition to document-driven files and URLs, and more than 40,000 approved documents.
Services, support and close collaboration
Certain provides project management, further development and consultancy support, including 2nd and 3rd line user support. Typical tasks range from establishing new document templates and changing user access levels to database optimisation and adjustments to functionality.
The collaboration is close, with regular status and planning meetings. Certain acts as both supplier and adviser, ensuring effective use of the solution and rapid delivery of change orders.
User forums and workshops
To gather input and ensure continued development, Certain holds annual user forums and workshops. Both regular representatives and users who rarely have direct contact with the supplier participate, so that experiences and needs are captured.

Stable operations and integrations
OUS always has access to the latest version of the solution and decides itself when updates are to be applied. Upgrades are carried out in close collaboration with Sykehuspartner, OUS’s operations provider, to avoid disruptions to service.
The system is integrated with OUS’s internal structures for departments and employees. The departmental structure is updated daily, and users are synchronised automatically against Certain QMS.
Throughout the entire period of collaboration, downtime has been so minimal that it has not been necessary to record measurements. This is due both to a robust technical solution and to the effective working relationship between Certain QMS, OUS and Sykehuspartner.
